Origin
Cloak and Dagger first appeared in The Spectacular Spider-Man #64 in March 1982, created by Bill Mantlo and Ed Hannigan. They were two runaway teenagers — Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen — who had been experimented on with synthetic drugs and developed light-and-shadow powers as a result.
Comic history
Cloak and Dagger have always been a pair, which is unusual for Marvel character licensing. They have had two solo series in the 1980s, frequent X-Men crossovers, and a 2018 Freeform TV series. The Marvel Rivals design treats them as a single unit — the player swaps between Cloak's dark stance and Dagger's light stance dynamically.
Cloak and Dagger in Marvel Rivals
Cloak and Dagger is a 275 HP Strategist with the most unusual character switch mechanic in the role group. Cloak provides darkness-based mobility and disengage; Dagger provides light-based healing and damage. The kit rewards stance management — Dagger heals, Cloak escapes, and the swap window is the entire skill expression of the character.
Abilities
Darkforce Cloak is the Cloak-stance primary. Light's Embrace is the Dagger-stance heal. Terror Cape is the Cloak CC. Dark Teleportation is the disengage. Eternal Bond, the ultimate, links the two halves of the character together for a brief duration of empowered output.

Spotting Cloak and Dagger in Rivaldle
Cloak and Dagger's gender cell is 'Other' — unique in the database (alongside Loki's 'Fluid'). Their dual eye color (Grey and Blue) and dual hair color (Black and Blonde) are tied to the two-character framing. In Emoji Mode the moon-link pairing is our cue toward the duality. In Classic Mode the affiliation is X-Men, narrowing them within the X-Men cluster by their 1982 origin year.
Try the puzzle
Cloak and Dagger is a possible answer in every Rivaldle mode. The fastest way to spot them is usually a combination of two columns in Classic Mode plus a quick read of the silhouette or pixelation. Once you get a feel for the database fingerprints — the unique species cell, the unique origin year, the unique HP value — most heroes can be solved in two or three guesses.
